Forever Mid-Shore is located in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay region on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The area is famous for blue crabs, oysters and other seafood. Forever Mid-Shore broadcasts from studios in the Talbot County town of Easton, the county seat. Talbot is known as one of the wealthiest per capita counties not only in Maryland, but the entire United States.
With easy access to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, government employees and dignitaries like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld have made the Mid-Shore their home. Celebrities like Jimmy Buffett, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, Santana, and numerous others have regularly chosen the area for vacations.
The Mid-Shore is also the birthplace of noted American historical figures such as Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman, and there is a trove of monuments, memorials & museums that draw locals and visitors year-round. The region is also a popular place for water & boating enthusiasts, as well as wildlife and waterfowl lovers. Easton’s annual Waterfowl Festival and Plein Air art competition are among the biggest of their kind and attract thousands from all around the world.
